47 trucks and 1.1 million paraders rejoice in a now legendary music demonstation
Pack your bags, get some sunglasses, put on your techno gear- the Loveparade 1998 is here! The parade becomes not only a peaceful demonstration for a rave population but also for all like-minded people now that techno music has come out of the underground. 47 trucks slowly roll along the route of 1,1 million parade fans. The Loveparade is indeed now a legend in the world, a legend in music, a legend in the continued struggle for peace, love, respect and tolerance among peoples of the world.
"I always invite my whole family, my grandmother who will be 75 this year, my mom, my daughter, by brother ... And they feel it, the energy, the spirit and are so thankful to be able to experience it! They experience it exactly the same as the first time for me on the Ku'Damm. And that has nothing to do with age. This gives an effect through everyone, a positive attitude towards life."
Sven Väth, DJ

For the first time in the history of the Loveparade, the number of visitors broke the one million barrier. The floats drove in two columns: the first beginning at the Brandenburg Gate, the other from Ernst Reuter Square.
